Dattatraya Kulkarni
Dattatraya ‘Kulki’ Kulkarni is McAfee Fellow and Chief Technologist at McAfee Consumer business. He is a seasoned technologist bringing deep consumer insights and innovations to protect consumer digital lives. He is passionate about building groups with start-in energy and creativity. He has groomed dozens of innovators who will be fountains of design in India in their future careers. He has a PhD from the University of Toronto, MS from IIT Chennai, and a BE from NIT Surathkal.
K Gopinath
K. Gopinath is a professor at Indian Institute of Science in the Computer Science and Automation Department. His research interests are primarily in the computer systems area (Operating Systems, Storage Systems, Systems Security and Systems Verification). He is currently an associate editor of IEEE Computer Society Letters and formerly of ACM Trans. on Storage. His education has been at IIT-Madras (B.Tech’77), University of Wisconsin, Madison (MS’80) and Stanford University (PhD’88). He has also worked at AMD (Sunnyvale) (’80-’82), and as a PostDoc (’88-’89) at Stanford. He is a coauthor of a recently published book on “Resource Proportional Software Design for Emerging Systems,” Chapman and Hall/CRC, 2020.
Prabhakar Mallya
Mr. Prabhakar Devdas Mallya was the Vice President, Head-Security, Audit & Architecture at Infosys Ltd. He received his Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Prior to his tenure at Infosys, he worked as a Senior Development Engineer at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.
R K Shyamasundar
R K Shyamasundar is a Life Fellow of IEEE a Fellow of ACM, Distinguished ACM Speaker, a Distingusihed Alumnus of IISc, served as IEEE Distinguished Speaker, and was the founding Dean of School of Technology and Computer Science at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. He is former JC Bose National Fellow, and Distinguished V. Professor at the Department of Computer Science, IIT Bombay. He is also an Adjunct Professor, NITIE and directs Information Security Research and Development Centre (ISRDC) from Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTY) from the Govt. of India and the Centre of Excellence in Blockchains by Ripple, at IIT Bombay. He was awarded the 2014 SN Mitra award for excellence in research by the Indian National Academy of Engineering. He is a Distingushed Fellow at the Institute of Development and Research for Banking Technology (IDRBT). He has also been recently honoured with a Fellowship from British Blockchain Association (BBS).
Satya Lokam
Satya Lokam is a Senior Researcher at the Microsoft Research lab in Bangalore, India. His research interests include Cryptography, Complexity Theory, and Theoretical Computer Science in general. Before moving to Microsoft Research, Satya was a faculty member at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Toronto and at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton, NJ.
Veni Madhavan
C.E.Veni Madhavan obtained his academic degrees, B.E.(Electrical Engineering) from College of Engineering, Madras, in 1969, M.E (Control Systems) from BITS Pilani, in 1971 and PhD (Control theory) from Indian Institute of Science in 1975. He worked in the industry, Air India (1976-1977), National Informatics Center (1977 – 1982), before joining the Computer Science and Automation department of IISc in 1983. He was a senior professor in the CSA department and retired formally in August 2014. He was the Chairman of CSA department during 1998-2000. He was invited to head the DRDO laboratory, SAG, New Delhi, during 2000-2003.
His current research interests are in computational linguistics and pragmatic cryptanalysis. He continues to work, in IISc, on R&D projects in the areas of cryptography and natural language processing. He is presently associated with several technical advisory tasks spanning government policy, academic and research mentorship.
